Cardboard Creations for Your kat & duke Kits | Easy Kids Crafts
At kat & duke, we love crafts, cardboard and creativity – that’s why our craft kits are meant to be just the beginning of your adventure! While our easy kids craft packs supply the environment, characters and a few handheld accessories for various adventures, there are plenty more cardboard creations just waiting to be made with your creativity. And the best part? By using regular household items and disposable boxes you have around the house, you can turn any recycling project into a bunch of clever recycled crafts for the kiddos!
- Cardboard Cuffs
Save those empty toilet paper rolls and turn them into great accessories for your kat & duke characters. Paint them pink and add some glitter and rhinestones for beautiful bracelets, or wrap them in foil and add spikes and studs for edgy cuffs. We’re sure the pretty unicorn will love a beautiful bracelet, or the brave knight will love his new armor!
- Super Shields
The brave knight could always use a shield to protect him on his quest, and it couldn’t be easier to make! Using an empty cereal box, cut the shield into whatever shape your brave adventurer prefers. Then add a personal touch with paint, crayons or markers to match the kingdom’s colors. Finish it off by adding a handle on the back – cut the handle off a milk gallon, glue or tape it on, and your brave knight is ready to embark on his quest for the queen!
- Beautiful Boxes
The average household has tons of cardboard boxes in various sizes lying around. Tissue boxes, cereal boxes, other food cartons like granola bar boxes, boxes that arrive in the mail … these are all templates for your next arts and crafts project! Using these items, add on to your kat & duke environment. Spray paint old tissue boxes to look like bricks and add on to the castle, or make them ammunition to defend against invading forces. Cut a box or carton half open to make a great feeding troth for the zoo animals or planter for flowers. And of course, a large box will make a great jewelry box to hold all your kat & duke accessories!
These are just a few thought starters to get the ideas flowing … what did we miss? Share your upcycling ideas with us in the comments below or show us your creativity on social media!
